Descrizione

Il nome Puntius deriva da Pungti (pronunciato Puti), un termine bengalese per piccoli ciprinidi. I maschi possono raggiungere i 7,5 cm di lunghezza totale.

Diffusione

È un pesce d'acqua dolce, si trova in India , Bangladesh e Birmania.
